Mykola M. Korenev, Doctor of Medicine, Professor, Honoured Scientist and Technologist of Ukraine.

N.M.Korenev is the Chairman of the Research Issues Committee “Health of schoolchildren and adolescents” at the Health Ministry of Ukraine and at the AMS of Ukraine, a member of Kharkiv Medical Society, President of Kharkiv pediatric association, Chairman of Kharkiv regional department of Ukrainian pediatric foundation, Head of the Chair of Pediatrics, Obstetrics and Gynecology at Kharkiv National University named after V.N.Karasin, and a member of the Editorial Boards at 6 scientific journals.

Professor Korenev’s research activity is basically focused on working at actual problems of pediatric cardiology, especially at those of arterial hypertension, epidemiology of cardiac and rheumatic diseases and on improvement of non medicamentous treatment of duodenal ulcerous disease and other chronic diseases of digestive tract in children. He also works at studying health status in children and adolescents from unprotected social groups (disabled children and orphans), and at certain problems of health status of children who suffered from the consequences of the Chernobyl nuclear accident.

Professor M.M.Korenev is the author of 280 scientific works, including 6 monographs and 10 inventions, he was the advisor of 16 Candidates of Medical Science.
